Mesotherapy
A form of
“surgical medicine", Mesotherapy
effectively dissolves localized excess
fat deposits, improves lymphatic
drainage, and removes hardened
connective tissue. It does this by using
injections of vitamins, minerals,
homeopathic compounds, specialized
medications and amino acids just under
the skin of the problem areas.
Mesotherapy
is used for a wide range of conditions,
including osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia,
chronic pain, depression and anxiety. It
is also an excellent treatment for
cellulite, stretch marks, wrinkles and
acne.
Developed
in 1952 by French physician Dr. Michael
Pistor, Mesotherapy is widely used in
France, the U.K., Switzerland, Belgium,
much of Latin America and now the United
States. In Mesotherapy, minute amounts of
medications are injected into the
mesoderm (the tissue that lies just
below the epidermis) and thus works
solely on the targeted area and does
not—as in the case of oral or systemic
treatments—affect the entire body. The
treatment is repeated from five to ten
times and the results are subtle,
natural and very long lasting.
For those
seeking to diminish fat deposits,
Mesotherapy treatments do not present
the same risks that liposuction might
and require no down time.
